"I was on the phone with a friend who uses CQG and right after the Fed announcement, CQG was as much as 30 seconds behind DTN.IQ. Some quotes were off by as much as 15-18 cents. Your feed never missed a beat." - Comment from Roger

"Just a quick one to say I'm very impressed so far :) The documentation for developers is excellent and I've quickly managed to get an app written to do historical downloads. The system is very robust and pretty quick considering the extent of data that's available. How can I use command lines to do the following?

1. Open a watchlist
2. Export the wathlist data into csv file
3. Close the watch list.

I can use "WatchList.exe test.wat" to open a watchlist of "test", but that is all I can do so far. How to export the data and close the watchlist?

Thanks,

The DTN.IQ application doesn't have scriptable/command line functionas available. You would need to us a windows macro utility if you wanted to script the functions you mention.

There are several macro utilities available via the internet if you do a search, many have free demos for you to try them out and see if they meet your needs.

Can you give me a link? Is it based on DDE spreadsheet ? How can I get my spreadsheet to list 1300 symbols? Now I can only list 500 symbols...thanks!

I have not used many of these personally, but this one seems to include the features you would need and it has a free trial to test that functionality.

As far as the spreadsheet symbol count, 500 is the max available with a standard IQfeed, I believe sales can upgrade this to a DTNIQ account that would allow 1300 symbols. You may contact sales at 1-800-475-4755 and they should be able to give more complete data on this including pricing.
