Hello,
I'am new to IQFeed and first I've a question regarding DDE:
I'am using an Open Office Spreadsheet for test, later I'll use it in my application.
When I try a syntax like '=DDE("iqlink";"system";"fitems1")' it works perfect, all items are send from DDE server and the cell is filled. Now I change the formula as follows '=DDE("iqlink";"DAX.X";"Last")' and the connection crashes, the red DDE icon is lost. What's wrong? I've also tried the same with an test environment for DDE connections, the same result.
But the Time&Sales window, thats open at the same time, shoes me the quotes and the quotes are proper updated appr. every second.
Thanks in advance Developer59

This sounds like the bug dealing with timezones.
Is your PC clock's timezone set to GMT+?
If so, in order to use DDE, you will need to adjust your timezone to anything GMT- (you can then adjust your clock back to the correct time for your location).
This bug will be fixed in the next release of IQFeed.
Let me know if this doesn't apply to your situation or if it doesn't help.

Yes, my timezone us GMT +1. I'am located in Germany.
I've tried your proposal and now it works, the example spreadsheet from DTN is updating very well.
Many thanks.
When is the time that a fixed DDE server is available?
Best regards Developer59
