I had a dream, and in this dream I was reading the release notes for the new IQFeed client software:

- two additional fields ar now included, they are exchange generated timestamps (HH:MM:SS) and a unique exchange ID (where available). The DTN generated timestamp will also be included for backward compatibility.

- This version handles buffering much better. If your internet connection is not fast enough or application too slow to keep up, messages will be simply discarded. You will no longer receive corrupt messages or messages with an incorrect number of fields. However, incorrect data (values) originating from the exchange will not be detected and will be passed on unchanged.

- Want to watch 1300 symbols? Now you can send a comma separated watchlist rather than 1300 individual requests

- Much better status communication between the IQFeed client and your application. We will now send a status message every 5 seconds so you know the feed is still alive. The status will also indicate when a server connection is lost , etc so you're not left hanging for 75 seconds before you know what's happened.
