I'm able to receive real time tick data over a socket connection, but when i try to request historical data from 127.0.0.1:9100 ( i didn't change default port ) i just receive a network socket time out. My time out was set to 5 seconds. I tried a longer duration in case that wasn't enough time but no luck.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks.

Good evening, Are you maintaining your IQFeed connection with a level one socket or an admin socket? The only time the feed should close itself is upon the closing of the last connection. So if you maintain one of those throughout that will eliminate any chance of the feed closing.

Have you tried to connect to the port via telnet? Sometimes another app may have 9100 blocked or in use.

Let us know if the issues persist though and we'll try to think of something else to help.

Tim
