Is there a way to get notifications of share splits by way of API?

We don't have a specific message that will alert you to splits. However, there are 2 split fields in the fundamental record that will tell you of the last 2 splits and the date. Thus, you could track that field and use it to process.

There is also a news story we put out once per week with a headline of "Stock Splits Report - Updated DAY DATE", ie. "Stock Splits Report - Updated Tuesday 5/10".
