Is there a call that can be issued that will return the current time that DTN/IQFeed servers are using?
I am writing an application and want to be sure that our computer clock is synced up to the time the IQFeed is using (in my app, being off by even a minute could have consequences).
By the way, I am using Java and calling the HTTP stuff.
Thanks in advance

Once every minute your socket will receieve a message like this
T,20021023 11:34
Search the help for "Time Message Format"
If we all live long enough we may even see seconds appended to the timestamp someday.

I use this to make sure my system time is accurate: http://www.worldtimeserver.com/atomic-clock/I agree with Skunk. Without second resolution, I wouldn't use the time message as a synch source, and I'm not sure I'd use it in any case. Looking at a log file from my app, the time message usually arrives when seconds = "00", but it appears that during heavy trading the message may be delayed a few seconds. I suspect it's placed in a message queue for delivery to the IQfeed client. Each morning I use the utility to check time against the atomic clock. On my trading platform it's almost always in synch. I have another box where it usually adjusts a few seconds every 2 or 3 days. If you find that to be the case, I'd look at swapping out the hardware; something is probably wrong with the real time clock.

Skunk:
While I do create a connection via IQ_32 and registering a client app, I do not have a listener on that socket as I am not using marke****ch stuff, etc. Instead I only make calls to historical data. Are you saying that if I add a listener it will send it to the socket?
