"Thanks for the great product and support. During this week of high volume trading, my QuoteTracker + IQ Feed setup never missed a beat. Also, thanks for your swiftness in responding to data issues. I was on ******* for a few years before I made the switch over early this year, and wish I had done it a long time ago." - Comment from Ken

I was wondering if there are any examples available showing how to use the various external
libraries like DTNHistoryLookup or DTNNewsLookup in Visual Basic for Application ?

Thanks for your help!

We don't have any examples of using IQFeed in VBA. I don't have any experience with VBA, but if there is an ability to send and receive from a TCP socket, it should be possible. The key is that you would need to manually launch IQFeed (you could do this with IQLink Launcher), then talk to the socket to send and receive messages. Maybe someone else has done this and could provide information.

On the flip side, our ProphetX product line does allow the retrieval of historical data via DDE, but there isn't a retail API avialable at this time. I know there is at least one commercial app that wrote to IQFeed to pull historical data, but I can't recall the name right now.

www.quotelink.net run by Antonio is a great resource for Excel based analysis using IQFeed. He's up at all hours and quickly responds to emails.
