"If you are serious about your trading I would not rely on IB data for serious daytrading. Took me a while to justify the cost of IQ Feed and in the end, it's just a 2 point stop on ES. Better safe than sorry" - Comment from Public Forum

"Boy, probably spent a thousand hours trying to get ******* API to work right. And now two hours to have something running with IQFeed. ProphetX Support » How 'bout changing the timeout value for ProphetX ? Feb 24, 2015 03:09 PM (Total replies: 3)

Hello AMA,
There are a variety of things that can cause 'internet burps' and the Prophet X connection can have different responses depending on the cause.
Would it be possible to have you send a screen shot of your System Alert messages you get when this occurs as well as a screen shot of your Help and About Prophet X window to prophetx@dtn.com so we can get a better idea of what may be happening with your connection?
Also, I am not aware of any settings available to adjust the time-out period. However, I will check with our development team to be certain and let you know if such exists.

We don't want you to put your account information on the forums, but we need to take a look at your account to further assist you.
Could you please send the question and your Prophet X login info to prophetx@dtn.com?

I believe your DTN ProphetX desktop shortcut icon has lost it's mapping to the actual Prophet X application. Delete the desktop icon. Then, go into My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files > DTN > Prophet X. There should be a ProphetX.exe in there. Right-click this and select Send to > Desktop (create Shortcut). This will put a new DTN Prophet X icon on your desktop that should work correctly. If this doesn't fix it please call our technical support line.

ProphetX Support » How to draw a short horizontal line? Dec 13, 2012 10:54 AM (Total replies: 2)

Under File and Preferrences, go to Charts and then Line Studies.
For the General Trendline settings, make sure both 'Extend line left' and 'Extend line right' boxes are unchecked. Now, if you go to your chart and draw a Trendline it will only connect the 2 points you select.
