Hi Stan,
Thank you for the data. The file you sent is just what I needed.
QLoader is up-to-date and generated no errors or warnings. I've been running this setup (i.e., same PC, same programs, same datafeed) for over a year now and have never encountered this problem or any other problem. Without error log information the QLoader vendor isn't able to identify the problem and therefore unable to fix it.
I'm sorry I pressed you so much. It's good to find the root of the problem. I happen to be trading this particular future contract and the longer term charts that I use were very vague with such a good size hole in the data. Since this setup has never faltered before I was more concerned about identifying targets and stop loss points for the position than resolving the problem at this time. So, when you said that the data was there I became a bit over zealous in my effort to acquire the data and be able to manage the position.
Thank you again for your assistance. You've been a big help. Chuck
Hi Stan,
As mentioned twice before the software used is QLoader. The software provider doesn't provide data. The data provider is iqfeed. This is why I look to the data provider to provide the data. If QLoader downloads all the data for the specified timeframe for all other symbols there's no reason that the software would randomly select a few hours of data from a single symbol and fail to download that data. I've tried deleting the data and redownloading. Again, it works for all symbols for the specified timeframe but not for @TYH9 for the specified timeframe. I hate to ask this, but did you have them check the servers for the specific timeframe for the specific symbol, or just ask if they showed data for @TYH9 for 12/4/2008? There is data for @TYH9 on 12/4/2008, but not during the specified timeframe.
If the data is there why can't you email it to me? Why would you want my software provider to download your data and send it to me? They're not in the data business. The specified time period is only a few hours. My email address is upatick@oh.rr.com. Could you please email it to me?
Thank you. Chuck
Hi Stan,
Thank you for responding. I ran the download again using QLoader and once again all data for the time specified in the original email downloaded except @TYH9 which was missing the data between the hours of 15:33:33 ET on 12/4/2008 and 0:01:15 ET on 12/5/2008. I'm using IQ Connection Manager version 4.4.0.3, IP address 66.112.148.112, port 60002. The tick data for the other 148 symbols for the specified time period comes down just fine. It's only the @TYH9 data for the specified time period that is missing. I've noticed that some people are able to identify the server they're accessing but I don't know how to acquire that information. Since you're able to download it and I'm not would it be possible for you to email the data for @TYH9 for the specified timeframe? Please let me know.
Thank you for your assistance. Chuck
My tick data download for 12/4/2008 and 12/5/2008 contains data for all symbols except for @TYH9 between the hours of 15:33:33 on 12/4/2008 and 0:01:15 on 12/5/2008. The tick data is there for all symbols during this time period except @TYH9. I wouldn't mind so much except that I'm trading @TYH9 and would like to have complete data. I use QLoader to down load the data and then import it into TradeStation 2000i. Please let me know how to acquire the missing tick data for this symbol and this timeframe.
Thank you for your assistance. Chuck upatick@oh.rr.com
I'm unable to find a list of stock option base symbols. For example, the Amazon option base symbol is ZQN and the Tellabs base symbol is TEQ. Please let me know where these stock option base symbols are located on you internet site.
Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for posting that you also encountered an interuption in the data feed. Thinking the problem was on my end, I was checking hardware and connections trying to determine why I was no longer receiving data.
It would be very helpful if DTN would provide a 'Status' page that subscribers could check before spending time investigating a service interruption on their end of the connection.
I just refreshed the data and find there is a data gap from 11:00 ET to 12:15 ET. Perhaps Jay could let us know if and when this gap will be filled.
Thank you. Chuck Milich
