I've noticed lag on ES and NQ lately as well when compared to my IB feed. IQ seems to get behind on bursts of data that last less than a min. It's as if the IQFeed hasn't switched from low to high gear. However, when the mkt is moveing at a steady pace, IQ keeps up just fine


I'd like to pile on with data feed problems I've seen over the last 2 wks but haven't seen for at least 6-8 months.

I chart using IQFEED and trade with IB.

Many times over the last 2 wks my incoming chart data from iqfeed freezes for 5-30 seconds while IB trucks along, then I get a burst of data from iqfeed and my charts catch up to the current price reported by IB.

I never saw this problem during the high volatility sep-nov months, only the past 2-3 weeks when volatility has been extremely low.

Now that DTN has given us about two weeks of intermittently bad data, it's about time for some serious answers.

1. Why didn't you notify customers of this upgrade?

2. Why didn't you provide details on the purpose and benefits of this upgrade?

3. What did you change in the way data is being sent? This is import because I've notice subtle difference in data delivery compared to the old DTN services.

4. Are you aggregating data to reduce bandwidth requirements w/o telling your customers? What did you do to the data?

I'm sure there are many that have experienced problems over the last few weeks and it's time for you guys to provide details on what you're doing, how long it's going to take, what can we expect, when this will be done, and why the fvking now you decided to make significant changes w/o warning on my nickel.

I would like to be nice about this but I've lost money because of your feed and you don't treat customers like this and keep them.

In fact I had another problem today with ER2 and your support rep told me to reboot my computer to connect to a different server. Treating your customers like idiots will only get you fewer customers.

Now that I’ve blown some steam I’ll wait patiently for your kind response, 2 week credit on my service, a DTN T-shirt or whatever else you want to throw my way.
