"I was on the phone with a friend who uses CQG and right after the Fed announcement, CQG was as much as 30 seconds behind DTN.IQ. Some quotes were off by as much as 15-18 cents. Your feed never missed a beat." - Comment from Roger

Is there any way, you can hard set my feed to send me only open/high/low/close/volume fields?
I monitor 2k symbols. At the market open and at the market close the traffic is hitting 5-7 MBit/sec.
As of now the average volume on the market is at the historical low. As an example AAPL volume is at the average level of 1980th.
Sonner or later the market will turn down and we will have an increase in trading volume. IF we have something like 2008, we should expect 5-10 times increase in volume at least. That mean I will have increase in inbound traffic to 30-50 Mbit/sec. This is a huge traffic not just for me but for you as well. Even now, on some days, at the market open and at the market close, I see your feed freezes for 10-30 sec. As I understand it is because of the traffic. How is it going to work when we have increase in trading volume on the market?
I am not sure whether I placed the question in the correct forum. If it is not related to this forum , please let me know where and I will repost it.
I have problem with internet traffic. At the beginning of trading session as well as at the end of the trading session the traffic could hit several MBit/sec.
When I create a list of stocks (about 1,500) I use the following command: SendRequestToIQFeed("t,MSFT\r\n");
I need only trades (open, High, Low Close, Volume), I do not need bid and ask info. I have filling that despite my request for trades only I still receive all information that I do not need. I have this filling because when I changed request to SendRequestToIQFeed("w,MSFT\r\n"); I had the same internet traffic
Whether I use "t" or "w" parameter in the SendRequestToIQFeed function, the traffic remains unchanged (huge)
What should I do to reduce the traffic - I need trades only. Is it something I can do on my end, or you can do it by making some changes on my account on your end?
icconnect.exe port 5009 remote address IPv4 loopback (image is attached)
As I understand IPv4 loopback should not go out
P.S. the image of outbound traffic is from my internet provider.
see in the attachment the history of outbound traffic as I turned off my program and turned the IQfeed watch list.
Outbound traffic was rising as I was adding the stocks to watch list
increased the number of stocks in the IQfeed watch list to 451
Outbound traffic from iqxonnect.exe increased to 0.4M B/sec
see attached image
I have turned off my program
Turned onn IQFeed Whatchlist
Added 292 sysmbols.
iqconnect.exe outbound traffic is 0.2M B/sec
see the attached image
Yes, I am trying to write data into SQL, but I use local connection. It does not go out.
I have big outbound traffic during the active trading hours, from 9:30 until 16:00 EST. Traffic is ok when IQ link is off.
In the attachement you may see mu traffic, black line is outbound traffic.
I would appretiater any ideas where should I look.
