Hi,

I got problems on C# v2.0 appliaction on the 64-bit Windows 2003. I can't init the DTN Login screen.

I tried two ways,

1. To use IQFeed COM, I use the sample project CSharpLevel1COM

After running the following line in the InitializeComponent()
((System.ComponentModel.ISupportInitialize)(this.IQFeed)).EndInit();

Error "Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG))"

2 To use IQ32.dll call
[System.Runtime.InteropServices.DllImport("IQ32")]
public static extern short RegisterClientApp(int appHandle, string ProdID, string ProdKey, string ProdVersion);
After calling the method RegisterClientApp and got the error.
Error "An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)"

Does anyone knows the workaround?

Hi Support,

I found an issue for the volume for your GOOG Minute 1 bars.

I list the only 13:51 ticks and Minute 1 bar here. Others have some issue. I got them both from DTN History info. The volume is 2000 for the bar, however it is supposed to be 2300 from the tick sizes.

I did the test today and found the field "Last Trade Date" in Summary message in Pre server is today's date 4/14/2007. Is this the known bug along with the Bid/Ask volume? I am still use the 4.2.0.7 in the testing.

Is there any update for the issue? It is 10 months from when I reported the issue.

Our clients are complaining about it consistently. Most of our clients are in west coast and busy to use our application around the 9PM PST(12AM EST).

Hi Support,

We are experiencing high CPU usage of iqconnect too just like what the topic (http://forums.dtn.com/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=1442&start=1) mentioned. We also noticed that the iqconnect using 95% for 10 seconds a couple of time in the busy periods which consuming around 50% of CPU.

In the Q message, field #18 "Time" format HH:MMc. We are checking if the c is t or T and discard ohers. Is there any way to only receive trading Q message to reduce the iqconnect usage and thus to reduce the CPU usage?

Besides we are suggesting somthing, is DTN doing some lab testing to come up with best pratice, like iqfeedY or socket (asyn calling receive buffer should be small or bigger) or using timer to receive.

2. Right. Not always, about 1 out of 5 times when I close the application, speicially after long time(a couple of hours) running.

Hi Support,

After installation of the new 4.2.0.7, we are experiencing the crashing of iqconnect sometime.

Our application(using C# .NET Framwork 2.0) running very smooth until the new version 4.2.0.7 iqfeed installed. It is not always crash. It happens most after closing our applicaton, sometime after losing the internet connection.

We are using level1 and history bar data for M1, M5 and Day only, no Level2, no news. We are using both iqfeedY COM (our current produciton version) and iq32.dll socket(our beta version) to get the level1 data, using socket to get history data. Both current production which using COM to get level1 and beta version which is using socket to get level1 are getting the same error.


The error is

Title :Miscrosfot Visual C++ Runtime Library
Message:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed\iqconnect.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

The following error happens more. It is windows general error message box.

Hi Steve,

The following are the answers to your questions

1. Is it All symbols or is it only a few symbols?
From 9PM PST, all symbols for 5Min bars will start missing bars for current day.
But gradually, the missing bars for current day will show in the sequence from Z to A.
For example,
for VLO, from 9 PM PST to 9:15 PM PST will miss bar data for current day
for INTC, from 9 PM PST to 9:40 PM PST will miss bar data for current day
for AAPL, from 9 PM PST to 10:10 PM PST will miss bar data for current day

2. Is it exactly 9PM-10PM every night? or does it vary from night to night?
Not exactly ending with 10PM, but the issue starting from 9PM. No, it doesn't very from night to night.

3. Does it happen every night?
Yes, it happens every night.

4. During this time, you are only missing the current day of data for these requests correct?
Yes, only current day is missing. If I request bars for 4 days, it will return 3 days except current day.

5. Can you see the 5min bars for the current day prior to 9PM?
Yes, I can see 5 Min bars for current day prior to 9PM

6. Is it only 5min bars or is it all minute data or is it all historical data (ticks, daily, etc)?
The issue is only for 1Min and 5Min, I didn't try ticks data. Daily bars data are OK.

We still can't see the today's 5M bar data in the time period from 9 PM PST to 10PM PST. Most of our customers are from West Coast which is in Pacific timezone. We got a lot of complains about the missing data in the period. If there are jobs running in 9 PM PST(12AM EST), could you reschedule them to run in the 12 AM (PST) which is 3 AM(EST).

I am using IQFeedY COM. How can I send a status request like the command "S,REQUEST STATS" in TCP to get the system message "S,STATS...."?
