Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free

When I was with another data provider, I subscribed to Dow Jones Business News and would use their symbols (like e/ern) to get what I needed. Thursday I signed up for your service (I'm shopping around for a data provider) and part of the package upon enlistment was the Dow Jones Business News. So, my question is, can I use these codes with DTNIQ's news program? I clicked on the button named "sym" (I'm assuming this is for symbol) and tried but I did not get a response. Am I doing something wrong? Any advice on this matter, would be much appreciated.

In the current version of DTN.IQ you can only set filters/alerts based on the headline or symbols in the story. Since these codes aren't broadcast in the headline, you wouldn't be able to use the Internal DJ coding for alerts.

We are working on some changes to the news servers, so we will look at this as well. It will involve the client and server though since we will have to send this info as some sort of header with the headline (we don't send the full text of each story to the client, so setting alerts would require it to be sent with the headline). No ETA, but we will get it on the list.
