I'm looking to support IQFeed on a trading platform I'm developing but am a little confused about the capabilities. The advertising blurb says "real time, true tick by tick data..." and then talks about "500 simultaneous symbols can be watched". Does this mean that the real time tick data is restricted to the 500 symbols I nominate? If this is the case does that mean that the DTN-IQ service is more capable in that it support 1300 symbols? I am only interested in NASDAQ trades and ideally I want all listed (~3500) symbols in real time (I cannot get the satellite service as I am not in North America).
cheers, Dennis

You are correct in that a DTN.IQ subscription allows you to watch 1300 symbols while IQFeed only allows 500. You would need to choose the symbols and set a watch list on them. DTN.IQ isn't "more capable" we just allow more symbols to be watched with a DTN.IQ subscription.
