"Boy, probably spent a thousand hours trying to get ******* API to work right. And now two hours to have something running with IQFeed. Hmmm, guess I was pretty stupid to fight rather than switch all this time. And have gotten more customer service from you guys already than total from them… in five years." - Comment from Jim

What if both subscriptions run on the same physical computer but in separate virtual machines (like VMWare) ? And should it be considered redistribution if only one person - the original subscriber - receives all the data?

We, in that case, it wouldn't be a problem for your subscription or exchanges, but at this time IQFeed can only be run once on a machine. I haven't tried in multiple virtual machines, but doubt it would work. Unfortunately, the exchanges (and thus us) have to have that verbage in the contracts. For personal use "should" be ok, but the problem is ensuring that is how it is being used once it leaves the computer. Since there is no technical means of protecting against redistribution, the exchange needs it in contracts.

if running on the host computer and in VMWare, it is the same as running IQFeed on 2 different computers since an instance of VMWare is the same as a separate computer for all licensing purposes.
