I have two issues related to acquiring option chains for QQQ, with a command such as:
OEC,QQQ,0,0; via the TCP interface to port 9100.

1) The number of put or call options is artificially limited to 255, when there are more available.
2) The "nears" option (which I assume narrows down the returned symbols to those whose strike prices are near the current equity price) does not appear to do anything.

Thanks for clarifying these two issues for me.

Ryan

Ryan,
We do not limit symbols to 255. However I am not ruling out the possibility that all the symbols are not being returned. I will be able to verify this after some testing on my end. I was able to verify that the nears option is currently inactive. We are working to fix this.

Did you mean to say that you are not ruling out this possibility?

Ryan,

I am not able to recreate the issue of symbols being limited to 255. What version are you on, and can you still recreate this? Thanks!
