"I just wanted to say how happy I am with your service. I was able to download the API docs last week and I was able to replicate Interactive Brokers historical bar queries and realtime bar queries over the weekend. That was about one of the fastest integrations that I've ever done and it works perfectly!!!!" - Comment from Jason via Email
"This is an excellent value, the system is generous (allowing for 500 stocks) and stable (and really is tick-by-tick), and the support is fantastic." - Comment from Shirin via Email
"Just a thank you for the very helpful and prompt assistance and services. You provided me with noticeably superior service in my setup compared to a couple of other options I had looked at." - Comment from John
"IQFeed version 4 is a real screamer compared to anything else I have seen." - Comment from Tom
"You have an excellent feed. Very few spikes for Spot Forex." - Comment from Public Forum Post
"I ran your IQFeed DDE vs. my broker vs. a level II window for some slow-moving options. I would see the level II quote change, then your feed update instantaneously. My broker's DDE, however, would take as much as 30 seconds to update. I am not chasing milliseconds, but half a minute is unacceptable." - Comment from Rob
"I noticed that ******* quotes locked up shortly after the interest rate announcement yesterday while yours stayed stable." - Comment from Ron in Utah
"I just wanted to let you know how fast and easy I found it to integrate IQFeed into our existing Java code using your JNI client. In my experience, such things almost never go so smoothly - great job!" - Comment from Nate
"And by the way, have to say this. I love the IQFeed software. It's rock solid and it has a really nice API." - Comment from Thomas via RT Chat
"I've been using IQFeed 4 in a multi-threaded situation for the last week or two on 2600 symbols or so with 100 simultaneous daily charts, and I have had 100% responsiveness." - Comment from Scott

Roberts, Unfortunately the policies from the exchanges haven't changed since the 2010 reply on this thread. It is considered redistribution of data if you move the data from IQFeed to a different machine. This is why we restrict access to the local machine and you would need 2 accounts and pay exchange fees twice if you use more than 1 machine. The exchange licenses allow the data to be used by a single person, on a single machine.

Andy,

This is not available in IQFeed, but we do have this capability in our ProphetX platform. While ProphetX doesn't feed PairTradeFinder directly, it would be worth checking to see if the data could get into PTF via DDE through ProphetX (or maybe what you are trying to view/analyze can be done natively in ProphetX). Information about ProphetX is available here: https://www.dtn.com/financial-analytics/commodity-trading/dtn-prophetx-commodity-edition/ and you can reach out to sales for a free trial.

IQFeed Datafeed Wish List » Please, add delayed OPRA quotes subscription May 17, 2020 06:39 PM (Total replies: 1)

Thank you for the feedback. Equity and index options data requires an order of magnitude more bandwidth and processing power when compared to other exchanges. We only have a small number of customers who utilize the delayed data, and interestingly the delayed data actually costs us more than real time data to provide (because we have to store/buffer/delay the real time data from the exchange). Thus, we made the decision to focus our resources on real time OPRA data. If you aren't currently taking advantage of our pre-paid billing options, you can save up to 30%. Just reach out to Billing and they will get you taken care of.

To be clear, these fields contain the official exchange listed open and close time for the instrument. The data in these fields won't change often, nor would they change in the middle of the day.

IQFeed Developer Support » WAL Earnings. Oct 19, 2018 03:57 PM (Total replies: 7)

Benzinga Pro is a service in which we absorb the costs for our customers, so it isn't something you subscribe to. I can't address the reason why they wouldn't have reported on WAL earnings, but this is why we provide multiple sources (in our Core service as well as through premiums). While no single source has 100% coverage of all market news, with our aggregation the overall news feed we provide is quite comprehensive.

IQFeed Developer Support » WAL Earnings. Oct 19, 2018 03:29 PM (Total replies: 7)

Some sources are part of our basic/core service, while others are premiums. In any case, each sources is received independently with their own tagging that we process. In the case of Benzinga Pro and Live Briefs Pro Global Newswires, we receive categories that we process to allow our news application to display within alerts/filters. Flyonthewall.com doesn't have these categories being processed and thus there is no way for our news application to categorize them as Earnings stories.

At the same time, each source may or may not carry a story on a particular company (the reason we carry a multitude of sources to give the most comprehensive feed).

In the case of the earnings coverage for WAL, there were 5 stories processed yesterday that were tagged with the symbol WAL. The first was the early morning Earnings schedule from Benzinga Pro, then it appears that flyonthewall led the way by reporting the earnings first, followed by Businesswire, Live Briefs Pro and RTT news.

It doesn't appear Benzinga Pro sent a story reporting the earnings for WAL. This would be the reason you aren't seeing any WAL earnings reports tagged as BZEarnings.

Let us know if this doesn't help clarify.

Benzinga Pro sourced stories (BEN) will come through in real time also as they are part of the IQFeed basic service.

IQFeed Developer Support » WAL Earnings. Oct 19, 2018 02:28 PM (Total replies: 7)

Craig, the BZEarnings symbol/flag is for the Benzinga Pro news feed only. This is similar to the symbol/flag EARN.MN which would come through from MT Global Newswires (Live Briefs Pro Global News). Each news source has their own tagging schemes. In the case of flyonthewall.com (FLY), we aren't processing categories that would allow us to tag it for use in the filters. Please reach out to sales and they can setup a trial of Live Briefs Pro Global News to see if that helps identify more earnings stories. You can then create a new filter/alert that includes both BZEarnings and EARN.MN.

Yes. The API annual fee increased to $384 January 1. Please see http://forums.dtn.com/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=5438 for details of 2018 price changes.

In order to fully utilize the IQFeed API, you will need to add the API subscription. This provides you with full documentation, direct support as well as access to pre-release software to ensure any changes we make with future updates won't leave you (or your trading) in the dark. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our sales group and they would be happy to get you setup. Please also note that the fee for the API service changed to $384/year effective January 2018.

IQFeed Developer Support » Unable to get full Historical Data Apr 3, 2018 07:49 AM (Total replies: 1)

This is likely due to still being on trial for your data account. Contact your sales rep to subscribe and this will unlock the restrictions on the historical data.

Sorry for the frustration. The issue is due to you having 2 different past API accounts. I have modified our systems and you should now be able to login to the developer area. Please let me know if you are still having issues.

IQFeed Developer Support » sample code Apr 2, 2018 04:55 PM (Total replies: 6)

Karthikkrishnan, You need to login to the developer area first to see the sample code. Login on the left side of the screen (assuming you have a Developer API Subscription) at www.iqfeed.net/dev first, then click the link provided. If you don't have an API subscription (sold separate from the data subscription), please contact sales and they will get you setup.

No problem at all. Just visit www.iqfeed.net anytime and under "Support" you will find the link to the Account Management Portal. Of course, you can also chat with support and they can verify for you if that is easier. We are here to help!

1) The extended fundamental data service is for current information that shows up in the fundamental data fields in the feed - primarily Dividend information that the exchanges are now charging separate fees for.

2) We don't currently have fundamental data stored in a historical format that would be available to pull. This is in our roadmap, but is likely a ways out as we work on higher priority items.

3) If you go into your Profile in the forums you can subscribe to the topics you wish, including product announcements. However, be sure to also follow us on Twitter and make sure we have your current email address by logging into the Account Management portal and verifying. We normally send emails for anything that will impact price, but all of these channels are good to have to ensure you are getting the most out of your IQFeed service.
