"Everything is working amazing now. I'm already impressed with the true-tick feed of IQFeed and it's ability to support my 480 symbol layout." - Comment from Tyler via Email
"Boy, probably spent a thousand hours trying to get ******* API to work right. And now two hours to have something running with IQFeed. Hmmm, guess I was pretty stupid to fight rather than switch all this time. And have gotten more customer service from you guys already than total from them… in five years." - Comment from Jim
"Thanks for the great product and support. During this week of high volume trading, my QuoteTracker + IQ Feed setup never missed a beat. Also, thanks for your swiftness in responding to data issues. I was on ******* for a few years before I made the switch over early this year, and wish I had done it a long time ago." - Comment from Ken

I started the IQ Feed (using my custom program with API) to collect the streaming data and when I tried to connect to the IQ feed (with the same login-in ID) from other computer to do some analysis using other charting tools (Like amibroker), the first one is disconnected.

So, is there any way to run the IQ Feed separately on two computers using the same login ID?

If not, I am considering to set-up dedicated server where IQ Feed runs and my custom programs connect to that computer (using sockets), Is this possible? (Here I guess, I need to specify in my API program to the that IQ Feed dedicated server IP to connect on certain port).

please advise.

Thank you

Is there code examples (C++) for consuming the streaming data asynchrously instead of continously looping? Any other efficient mechanisms? Seems my machine (AMD Dual core) is choking up all CPU cycles if I use looping. Currently, I am only watching two EFTs & one Index (so only three symbols).

thanks for the replay. This is helpful.

Is there any way to do the testing during non-trading hours for this (streaming ticks), because I do the most of the development during evenings or weekends.? I am is there any simulator kind of stuff on IQ Feed side?

I am new to IQ feed & has good background in programming (C++, VB, JAVA etc.,). I would like to know what is the best way to get the streaming tick data from IQ Feed and feed to my Algorithm for buy/sell.
1) Should I be using the "w[symbol]<CR><LF>" as illustrated in the VC++ console streaming example? & read in continuous loop throughout the day?

1a) if so, should I use to "switch" statement so that I can route indexes tick to algorithm routine#1 & other stock ticks to algorithm route#2.

I am trying to find what is the 'fastest' way to do this. Because after feeding this tick data my algorithms take few micro sec to run through the logic and perform necessary buy/sell.

I am looking to get some indexes ticks as well as some 20+ stock ticks.

Thanks
