Hi - somewhere on the DTN/IQFeed websites, or in the installation software, I found a sample or two of how to code Excel to grab data. I remember a sample watchlist, and maybe some other stuff, but haven't been able to find them. Looked at the help page, but that wasn't it. Could you point me to any samples you might have? Might be dreaming, but could swear I encountered and actual sample or two.
Very basic stuff for now, such as watchlist, options chain, Time & Sales. I want to experiment some with collecting data live and running it through Excel.
Previously, I'd managed to code up how to retrieve basic options data into Excel and that works great. Time to take it to the next level...
Thanks

A few versions ago we moved the Sample DDE Spreadsheet into the IQFeed installer. Thus, you should be able to find the sample in the IQFeed folder. A shortcut should be available when clicking "Start --> All Programs --> IQFeed 4.7.2.0".
the only DDE interface directly supported with IQFeed is to get streaming data on a symbol basis. We don't include an interface for T&S, chains, etc. If you want more advanced functionality feeding data into Excel, I would suggest looking at XLQ or QuoteIN (3rd party apps) as they both provide a more efficient feed from IQFeed into Excel as well as advanced functionality and formulas.

Thanks for the quick response, Jay. Thought I'd lost my mind for a minute, but the sample spreadsheet was what I was remembering...
