Zeruel -Interested User- Posts: 29 Joined: Feb 22, 2012	Posted: Feb 15, 2014 01:21 PM Msg. 1 of 2 +GCK14 and +PLK14 are being reported as valid / active from the futures chain messaging however I'm only getting weekly and monthly bars for these two. There are no daily bars coming through for either of these symbols. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!
DTN_CurtisT -DTN Technical Support- Posts: 323 Joined: Jun 14, 2007	Posted: Feb 16, 2014 04:00 PM Msg. 2 of 2 Hello Zeruel, both the +GCK14 and +PLK14 are what are known as Serial contracts for both Gold and Platinum as such have not actually traded as of yet. The reason why you are seeing Weekly and Monthly data is these data-types are built off of the Continuous Contracts data which for Gold & Platinum is currently on the April contract. If you compare these to the +GC# and +PL# contracts they will match in Weekly and Monthly data. Both the May 2014 contracts have not actually traded anything so there will be no intraday data, and it appears that the exchange has not sent any settles for these contracts, nor do they show settles for them on the CME's website.
