js2004 -Interested User- Posts: 30 Joined: Jul 19, 2004	Posted: Jul 23, 2004 03:13 PM Msg. 1 of 6 I tried to get quote data for 400 symbols tody. I am suprised to find out among the 400 symbols I tried, 271 are not available!! Only 129 returned quotes. The response the server returns are "Not Found" for those 271 symbols. Most of the symbols in the list are thin traded but quite a few are not such as BCON, BFUN, FLWC, ABMD, ACTL, BCGI, ACMR ... I tried to retrieve the quote from my broker's streamer and there are no problems at all to get all the quotes. I also checked Yahoo, no problem either. What is the problem?

FLWC is not - but it doesn't show up in another data feed I have either. Yahoo considers it "invalid". Looks like its your application, not IQFeed.

Posted: Jul 26, 2004 09:56 AM Msg. 4 of 6 js2004, The text "Not Found" in the last field signifies that you have entered an invalid symbol. You can find our symbology at www.iqfeed.net in the Support area. Your choices are the Symbol Guide, and Symbol Lookup. Thanks! Natalie Hannan DTN Market Access, LLC.

Please let us know if you are getting the not found this week. If you are, please check the IQconnection manager and report back on which IP and port you are connected. Here is the result: among 400 symbols, 251 returned with "Not Found", only 149 returned quote. Many last week's Not Found symbols returned quote today which include FLWS, ACTU, ABMD, ACEC, ACMR, BCON, BFUN, BCGI, ACTL. Some of today's Not Found are: ACTT, BBGI, ACCL, ALAN, ALOY. I din't think I gave wrong symbols. The followings are some of the Not Found.
