"I started a trial a few weeks back before the market went wild. DTN.IQ didn’t miss anything and beat my other provider. I decided to stay with you because of the great service through all the volatility." - Comment from Mike
"Boy, probably spent a thousand hours trying to get ******* API to work right. And now two hours to have something running with IQFeed. Hmmm, guess I was pretty stupid to fight rather than switch all this time. And have gotten more customer service from you guys already than total from them… in five years." - Comment from Jim

Hi,

A week ago, I sent an email to developer support. -edit to remove email address-

I never got a response.

Also I see that the chat option on the developer section of the IQFeed website is always offline. (at least the times I logged in)

Is there a better way to get a hold of you guys? I did not want to post it all here, as I included some proprietary code in the email.

Thanks,
-Bob

Bob, Chat/Email/Forums are the only ways to get in touch with developers. We generally respond very quickly (within an hour) during regular business hours and almost always within 1 business day. If you haven't gotten something back within that time frame, there is a good chance we didn't get it for some reason and you should followup. Additionally, if you aren't getting a response (for whatever reason), you can always contact either our regular support group or your sales rep and they will make sure everything gets straightened out quickly.

With that said, I'm not finding any emails in the developer support mailbox from you since the beginning of May. Did they have attachments? If so, its possible that our corporate email filters deleted it before it got to us here in dev support. Most of the time, password protected zip files will bypass our mail filters and make sure your email gets delivered. Alternatively, you can always send a second email (without the attachment) so that we know you are waiting for a response.

I am currently available in chat but admittedly, we developers sometimes forget to login in the mornings. If you ever see us offline during business hours, simply initiate a chat with the regular support and give them your loginID (so they can verify you are a registered dev) and request to be transferred to dev support.

Lastly, every post on the forums generates an email to our individual inboxes so posting on the forums should get you a quick response as well.

Thanks Steve, this is good info.

In the future, if I don't get a response I'll follow up using the methods you suggest.

I am guessing the email filter at your site is is the issue. I just sent 3 new emails to the developer inbox.

The first is just a resend of last week's email. The second has an encrypted attachment. (7zip) and the third has no attachment. If you could look and see if any or all got through and let me know, I'd appreciate it.

If you just get the third one, I can put the file on my site and send you a URL.

-Bob
