There is a known issue with 5.1.3.1 that Wine tends to show more so that other OS versions, but this is resolved in the beta that we hope to be sending you information on very soon. Thanks for the detailed post though, the multiple threads running history requests makes me feel very confident that we have already addressed this for you.

I thought we are limited to 15 threads for simultaneous history downloads.

The limit is 15 simultaneously occurring history requests at the server.

There is no limit to the number of connections your app can make to IQFeed on your local machine but if you are making requests in such a way that there are more than 15 active at any one time then you will get error messages returned on the extras instead of data.

Hi, is there any update on this beta?

I am only making 1 request at a time, running iqfeed on linux via WINE, and am receiving a similar message:

Assertion failed: Bad file number (..\..\..\src\signaler.cpp:183)
wine: Unhandled exception 0x40000015 in thread c at address 0x7b83aace (thread 000c), starting debugger...

Thanks.

I used iqconnect.exe v5.1.1.3 (downgrade from v5.1.3.1) and on wine 1.9-1 had a continuous uptime upto 14 days (9 days market is open).

I found it very stable so far. Note that for 9 trading days streaming 500 stocks L1 quotes only totalled 109 gigabytes of network data (approximately 10gbytes per day).

Iqconnect.exe started on Jan 6 but has 1 disconnection/reconnection so screenshot shows Jan 20 begin.

Thanks, dawin_te. I'll give that a try and see if the stability improves.

Hello,

The 5.2.0.6 beta that is currently available via the developer website has fixes for all of the known WINE crashes with iqconnect. Some display apps have had issues with WINE, such as diagnostics, but there are no currently open items that we know of that should impact your software's ability to function consistently.

There was also a large amount of effort put into connectivity issues that were seen in 5.1 and earlier builds, so if you have access to the developer website I would like to see you both test the new version to see if any of your issues persist.

I am using 5.2.5.0 version and I am having the same issue. I attach the backtrace file
It is said it is fixed in 5.2.0 version but how is it possible that I see it in later version?
I am using only 1 feed per 1 thread. Please help!!!

Thanks,

Good morning.

The next time this occurs, before restarting, can you please check in your Docs\DTN\IQFeed\ directory and send me the IQConnectLog.txt file and any .dmp files that are located there to the developer email address?
