Msg. 1 of 5
Continuing with the problems I'm seeing in 4.1.1.1...
If my app sends "S,DISCONNECT" or if I click the "Exit" command in IQConnect's menu, it crashes immediately. The resulting dialog box complains about an attempt to read memory at 0x00000070. (This is consistent.)
Again, has anyone seen similar behavior?
Thanks! Allen

Hello Allen,
I am not seeing this same behavior with the S,DISCONNECT command.
Can you duplicate this with IQ Explorer (included with the dev install) as well or only with your app?

Hi, Steve. I think I understand this one now. This crash is related to the state of the Level II port. This might not be the minimal sequence of conditions required to duplicate the bug, but it seems to be enough to make it 100% repeatable: - The app connects to the Level I port and authenticates as usual.
- The app connects to the Level II port.
- The customer's account is not authorized for Level II.
- The app doesn't read from or write to the Level II port, but leaves it connected.
- The app issues the S,DISCONNECT message via the Level I port, or the user selects the "Exit" command in IQConnect's system tray icon menu.
If that's not enough information to duplicate the problem, let me know and I'll send you a couple of IQConnect logs that I captured during a successful run and a failure. Allen

Hello Allen,
I have been able to duplicate this crash with the sequence you posted.
The key was that the account cannot be authorized for level2 in order to duplicate this.
I will look into what is causing it.
Thank you for the report. Edited by DTN_Steve_S on Feb 6, 2006 at 08:57 AM

Thanks! I've got a workaround, so as far as I'm concerned, there's no urgency.
