Hi.

Can anyone explain why I can't backfill the SPX intraday chart?
Actually, not even the historical data I can get a backfill

regrads,

Try the symbol SPX.XO to see if that works for you.

Pyro,

In another post you mentioned using QuoteTracker. Have you configured QuoteTracker to utilize IQFeed for not only a quote source, but also for backfill and news? You can't get a more complete service for QuoteTracker than IQFeed, but you need to make sure you configure QuoteTracker in numerous places to utilize IQFeed as the datasource.

Hello one thing that you may need to check under Options, Data Source/Proxy Settings that the first six tabs are all set to IQFeed US - Streaming (Realtime). The last two tabs Trade and Proxy we do not use so you do not have to worry about them. Once that is done make sure that you do not have the SPX.XO on the Index bar at the top of QuoteTracker. For some reason if you have any indices there they will not always produce intraday charts. I would recommend removing it from there then adding it to the main portfolio page and try the intraday chart again.

Thanks.

Hi.

Another question.

Is it usual to see the intraday chart not updating when you see the quotes changing?

Just happened a minute ago with INDU.X. For 15 min the 5 min chart didn't update. It happened also with SPX.XO but with stocks, I didn't noticed.

regards

Because it was only affecting indexes, it sounds like the issue is with QT having the index panel updating quotes. It used to be that you couldn't have quotes in the main portfolio and the index panel at the same time or it wouldn't update properly. However, it would be best to check with this on this as we haven't had any data issues.
