A couple of days in a row I've had the same problem now.
I leave the feed running 24/7. Today at 5:35am est I get a couple of SERVER DISCONNECTED messages.
IQFeed sits there silently not working, when I look at the IQFeed stats dialog it shows a blank where the subscribed symbol count is. I start up IQWatchQuote (@ 1:40pa est) and everything bursts into life again.
It's like IQFeed is not reconnecting.

Hello Craig,

We are continuing to look at this, but have not had a lot of luck at getting it duplicated in house, so progress has been slow. As I mentioned, this is still one of the top items on our boards and we are committed to getting it resolved, but I don't have an ETA yet to offer.

For what it's worth, the downgrade seems to have survived today.

Hi Guys,

Any update on this issue. I have been sporadically getting this issue in my iqfeed connection and today it happened again many times until eventually the server gave up reconnecting and hung ....

Jose, unfortunately at this time, this issue is still outstanding and we have not yet isolated the exact cause in order to provide a workaround. We have been able to establish that this is a long-standing bug that seems to be getting triggered more frequently recently (possibly just a coincidence).

The issue has been escalated and we are actively working on troubleshooting and fixing it. We will be releasing a new build to address this particular issue as soon as it is resolved.

The only thing I could recommend until then would be to monitor the messages and issue a S,CONNECT message to the feed if you haven't received anything within 10-15s. In theory, the feed should be automatically trying to reconnect every 1s after an unexpected disconnection occurs until successful. Obviously this is not happening under the circumstances in this thread.

Is this fixed yet? I have been talking to support for 3 weeks now and this issue is not resolved because no one knows what the problem is. Apparently others have the same problem I do. Support is trying to blame my internet connection even though it appears that they have been unable to send email out of their own brick and mortar work location. I'm at the point where i could spend another week or start looking for other options.

Any chance that service may have had you alter any registry settings with regard to timeout prior to upgrading to the new version?

Also, in the process of working with service have you ever downgraded back to your previous version to see if the problem goes away to confirm that it is a version issue?
